About Stacey Lenkin Saltzman, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Washington, DC and Maryland.
My journey into this profession began with small steps, first as a resident advisor in college, then as a kindergarten teacher in the Teach for America program, and then as a museum educator running a program for teenagers. In these very different environments I witnessed a wide range of emotional challenges and referred people to resources such as counseling centers to meet their individual needs. In 1997, I earned my MSW while working part-time.
My passion for clinical work grew during a two-year Infant Observation Training Program at the Washington School of Psychiatry, which provided fascinating insights into the parent-child relationship. Immediately after this training I worked for four years at the Adele Lebowitz Center for Youth and Family. From there I began my work with adults at the Meyer Treatment Center. In 2015, I opened my own clinical practice.
